Isn't it great crunching through the leaves on the way to and from school? We love this time of year and Ian Beck's wonderful story set during Autumn captures the season brilliantly! As the story has a familiar setting, I always find young listeners really respond - especially if they have a favourite teddy like Lily.
The book explores what happens when teddy becomes lost; it creates lots of opportunities to discuss keeping safe, especially during these darker days! The illustrations are fantastic and full of drifting leaves... we made a leaf crown after reading, so easy and quick to do that these photos need no explanation!
Then Rebecca had fun making leaves for sorting activities - try sets for colour, shape and size.
